Iron Boots.

This band is pretty hyped up. It's well deserved. Warzone worship at it's best.

Nothing to see here.

I get about 1000 hits a month but very few people comment on here. So I decided to post this picture of Jack Kerouac cuddling a kitten for all you people to comment on. If this picture doesn't get some sort of emotions going then the world is a lost cause.

“Avoid the world, it's just a lot of dust and drag and means nothing in the end.”

Tiger tiger burning bright.

I like this one. Gypsy black tongue tiger.

Painting the night away.

I'm a loser with no friends.

L.R. Minugh acetates.

Eric Minugh, son of Lee Roy Minugh, came to the shop the other week and was selling some books of stencils and flash from his fathers famous shop. Along with Lee Roy's stuff he had a big collection of Owen Jensen stuff who worked at Lee Roy's shop in his later years. Eric also had a lot of photographs from tattooing's past. I bought a few books and asked if he had any original acetate stencils for sale, and it turns out he had quite a few at very reasonable prices.

I bought these two because the baby doesn't appear to be a piece of flash. I imagine a customer brought in a picture and the stencil was cut from that as reference. Old portrait style tattoos always interest me. The Airborne style design I picked up because I liked the Design and it was signed by Lee Roy Minugh.

Eric has a ton of cool stuff, and told me some pretty cool stories about Owen Jensen while he visited our shop, but he doesn't have a single tattoo. I guess his mom wouldn't allow it and he's stuck to it his whole life.

from HERE.

I want the "Fuck You If You Can't Take A Joke" shirt real bad, but they sold out of 'em. I'd like to start doing some shirts like this where they just say awesome stuff with cool art. Not even to advertise anything, just to do it. Branding is for the birds.

Patriotic as fuck.

This is my first really big tattoo that's taken over 10 hours to do, it almost hit 20 actually! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and I learned alot from the experience of tattooing it. Ryan was a really good sport who sat like a rock, showed up on time for his appointments, came back regularly so I could see the healing progress, and really let me take my time and figure out how to approach such an undertaking. It's just as much his accomplishment as it is mine, if not more so!

I think I was thinking in a rather Higgs-ish manner when I thought this one up. This is what happens when someone says, "Do whatever you want."

Pretty in Pink.

Here's a pic of Natalie wearing one of the shirts I printed for her.

Amerian Apparel fuchsia colored women's t shirts. The print run was kind of small so I managed to bang them out in one night once the screens were completed. If anyone wants anything printed let me know.

Rainbows and lollipops.

The new direction for my deep, meaningful, artistic photography is capturing American youth at leisure. Nothing says America like people sitting down.

Matt Bivetto sends a painting.

Got this from Matt Bivetto in the mail the other day in trade for that fairy fighting a snake painting I did for him. I love this dudes style, and he's a really good person on top of it. Tattooing will always weather the storm with guys like him involved.

True Romance.

I got to tattoo my friends Tony and Natalie Slater the other day for their wedding anniversary and it was pretty awesome. They decided on doing the True Romance tattoo of the cherub and banner with names. I kind of did it my way because the design from the movie is sort of weak, all it needed was alittle more cleaning up and it made a pretty fun little ditty. The X'd up hand was a nice touch.

Whenever I hang with the Slaters, Natalie always bakes me something awesome. This time it was vegan cheesecake chocolate chip brownies. I've never had a damn cheese cake brownie in my life, and normally I get bummed on vegan cheese cake because it's either too thick or too "Tofu-y" but these things are spot on! They have a faint bitterness that reminds me of real cheese cake but with the sweetness of the chocolate chips and chocolate brownie it's a good complimentary flavor. So thanks a ton Natalie! Also in case you didn't know she does the Bake and Destroy website, which I did some shirts for this past week. Go see what she's got going on over there and buy some cool gear from her.
